Switchblade Shorties
Befor hover parents, children ran wild. The wildest of these feral children were the Switchblade Shorties, operating as a kind of foul-mouthed, irreverent Our Gang: “Sodapop” Tanner, Pinky Winslow, Sheena Belvedere, “Charly Horse” Kinison and Foster Lambert. When their friend Petey Wheatcakes disappears, the Switchblade Shorties turn off their video games and try to find him. Instead, they encounter aliens, Bigfoot, werewolves, and more in this twisted ode to the 1990s – an era before the internet destroyed our imaginations.
Earlier this year, the comics world lost a singular unique voice with the untimely passing of Ed Piskor. To celebrate his life and legacy, his family are picking up where he left off. They have united together to release his final unpublished work, Switchblade Shorties, as a gorgeous hardcover that fans of Ed’s work will not want to miss. Originally appearing as the backup strip Latchkey Kidz in Piskor’s Red Room, the strip was retitled Switchblade Shorties when officially launched online as its own daily comic strip.
The landscape formatted 12×9 hardcover book contains over 176 pages of Ed Piskor at his best. The book is written, drawn, colored and lettered by Piskor alone. His family has taken great measures to make this release as special as possible and ensure that the book is being presented exactly as Ed had originally intended.
Piskor’s family has been instrumental in ensuring the legacy of Ed Piskor remains a vibrant one in the world of comics, and that his contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
The Life and Death of the Brave Captain Suave
The Life and Death of the Brave Captain Suave is a metatextual comic book series about a homeless man living in Cleveland, Ohio that believes he is an actual superhero.
Written by Joseph Sieracki and drawn by Kelly Williams, Captain Suave is a modern take on Don Quixote, and is collected here for the very first time in a beautiful upgraded softcover!
A homeless man that thinks he’s a superhero befriends an ex-nursing student with a penchant for drugs on the streets of Cleveland, Ohio. The unlikely pair find themselves bouncing from one mishap to another, all while trying to make a small but positive difference in the lives of those they encounter. A hero the city neither needs nor deserves, Captain Suave is a man out of time determined to be a Golden Age superhero. Not unlike Don Quixote of Cervantes’s classic tale, this hero will straddle the line between insanity and benevolence.
Along with his sidekick, Champ, Captain Suave will battle the imaginary forces of evil threatening the fair city of Cleveland. Stopping a wind turbine he mistakes for a hydra from demolishing the city, saving unwitting damsels in distress, and even thwarting real-life robbers, no evildoer is safe from the awesome and quixotic might of Captain Suave!
Why is this important?
A singular take on the superhero genre: Paying tribute to Cleveland’s storied history in comic books, Captain Suave is a hero like no other. Though he is only a superhero of the mind, he will show readers that it doesn’t take superpowers to do what’s right and help others.
Classic literary elements: Blending Golden Age superheroes with Don Quixote, this is a modern take on the Miguel de Cervantes classic, sure to excite both comic book and classic literature readers alike.
Unique visuals: Incorporating both hand-painted watercolors and digital coloring, different artistic styles depict the hero’s fantasy versus what’s happening in reality on the page. Employing a digital dot pattern evoking a Golden Age style of comic book coloring, what the hero believes is happening has a distinctly different feel from the real, painted world.
Jacked Tracts
Jacked Tracts is a spirited satire of those notorious Christian comic tracts that thrilled and traumatized American kids throughout the late 20th Century. Its rollicking reexamination of these comics from a contemporary perspective is sure to delight believers and heathens alike! The 10 X 6 hardcover book is 148 pages long, and features work by 74 talented artists from around the world.
JACKED TRACTS is edited by cartoonist Danny Hellman, a contributor to DC Comics, Fantagraphics and countless other publications. Hellman also edited and published the critically-acclaimed alternative comics anthologies Legal Action Comics Volumes 1 & 2, and TYPHON.

This 48-page oversized graphic novel. It follows the internal struggles of Ginger Cat Nr 9 who is dealing with anxiety and exclusion in a Tuxedo Cat-dominated society. His mentor Mau Cat is revealed to be an untrustworthy cat who scams ginger cats and drinks ginger meow tears in his free time. The struggles for Ginger Cat Nr. 9 are real though, and his visits to his therapists seem to have no positive results. Is he really the orange cat he thinks he is, and is his wish to fit into the Tuxedo Cat society just a fear of being himself?
This second edition includes extra content like back stories, a prologue and has additional content created by artists Michiel Walrave, Johan Kleinjan, Gees Voorhees and Yvonne Gaemers. It also includes a soundtrack composed by me, YobKiss, released on cassette tape and digital download by South Korean label Extra Noir. There will also be a 7” record of the Pistache & Mustache track, available for early backers of this project.
When I look back at the original risograph I published in 2018, I saw a bunch of things I wanted to improve in this new edition. For instance, I didn’t like the digital speech bubbles I made in InDesign and I didn’t particularly like the font I used, so I’ve redone all the speech bubbles and lettering. Generally speaking, the risograph has a nice aesthetic quality but I found that a lot of the details got lost. So this remastered issue will provide a better quality while still having some of the tactile reproduced qualities I liked about the risograph. In addition to all this I drew an extra story about Pistache and Moustache, two cats who are acid house producers and get messed up.
I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do and thank you so much for your support. You are truly the people who keep comics alive!

A non-profit called the Alliance of Global Safety (AGS) was formed by Dr. Derickson meant to bring nations together to help form free trade, better living, and safer communities.
Kingsville sold this mineral to AGS and with their technology have found that it contains properties that supply superhuman abilities. Now they want more of it but Kingsville is worried as about the power they are gaining by having a superhero team. AGS now promises each nation that joins them their own superhuman to help in that country. This could lead to war.
Your support will help us complete issue 3 of this 4 part mini series. Providing new stories is crucial in comics books and having a hispanic lead in a comic book is important. This story not only follows Kingsville and their fear of a growing superpower in AGS, but also follows Rodrigo as he balances his duties as one of the lead scientist at AGS and the moral dilemma he finds himself in as he begins to notice some of the evil AGS is doing with this new superhuman team that AGS has developed what was thought to be for good.

White Ash 1-8
The long running hit fantasy series about Elves and Dwarves in Pennsylvania returns with an ALL-NEW 44 page issue.
White Ash is an ongoing, urban fantasy comic book series written by Charlie Stickney, with art by Conor Hughes, Julian Shaw, Tango and colors by Fin Cramb.
First launched on Kickstarter in 2017, White Ash is one of the longest running and most popular series on the platform. With over 500 pages of story so far, now is the perfect time to join us.
This campaign, we are raising funds for the 44 page, White Ash: Chapter 08.
In Chapter One, we met Aleck the son of a coal miner, who’d been counting down the hours till he could get the hell out of town and head off to college. Because shockingly, the last thing Aleck wanted out of his life, was to be… a coal miner.
But an apparent accident at the mine where his father was injured, stalled Aleck’s exit, setting him down a life-altering path.
And from there, things got CRAZY (that’s where all the fantasy elements come in) We can’t really tell you too much without getting into heavy SPOILER TERRITORY.
Pirates: A Graphic History (But not THAT kind of graphic)
A humorous, (mostly) true chronicle of the Golden Age of skullduggery, swashbuckling and scurvy dogs!
Who isn’t fascinated by cunning corsairs cutting a conniving course from the Caspian to the Caribbean? (Well, maybe Tom H. from Fresno, California. But he also likes chicken on his pizza, so there’s that.)
Tales of pirates have been a part of popular culture since the first buccaneer ever burgled a brigand. But what is the real story on these seafaring sociopaths? Why did they have hooks and peglegs? Why did they bury their treasure? And why did they all say “Arr”?
Well, for the most part, they didn’t. Which is why I wrote and illustrated the 160 page, nonfiction graphic novel PIRATES: A GRAPHIC HISTORY (But not THAT kind of graphic.)
After spending most of my career illustrating Disney Comics for various publishers, I spent over five years researching piracy in all it’s incarnations. During these studies, I discovered these were not the swashbuckling cads with a taste for adventure that I grew up with. In reality they were no more than common criminals with fancy shirts and a thing for boats. The end result was a humorous, all-ages history of who these pirates were, what they did and how they committed all the deeds that made them infamous.
The book is divided in to three sections…
-A History of Pirates is a chronicle of these foul freebooters from the Bronze Age to modern times with an emphasis on piracy from the 1660’s to the 1730’s. Below are pages from various points in that history.

It’s a premature apocalypse, I’m told it happens to everybody.
Three years later: Sheila Garcia is a Chicago detective who has a streak of being reckless. Like she has some kind of death wish. No one wants to partner with her. So she’s assigned Horace Nightengale as her new partner – the first demon detective.
Just as they’re starting to get along, they catch their first case. Which is the last homicide that will ever happen.
Why would someone kill Death? And what kind of hell breaks loose now that he’s dead?
Demon City is a 168 page full color deluxe hardcover graphic novel for mature readers.
A horror / crime noir / buddy cop story. For readers who love movies like Lethal Weapon, Bad Boys, and Die Hard – but with a supernatural twist, like HellBoy, Blade, or Bright.

unSEEN/unHEARD: Disability & Neurodivergence Comic Anthology
A 64-page comic anthology amplifying underrepresented voices in the disability and neurodivergent communities.
It was vital to us that stories about neurodivergent people and those with disabilities be told by people with those conditions. Similarly, creators with these conditions often find it difficult to make comics consistently, from financial barriers to constant interruptions to the creative process because their energy must go to simply…existing. As such, we wanted to produce this anthology to give those who might not usually get to tell their stories a platform to do so.
The anthology covers a wide spectrum of conditions: AuDHD, Ankylosing Spondilitis, Traumatic Brain Injury, Dyslexia, Spinal Cord Injury, Misophonia associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Tourette Syndrome, Blindness, Fibromyalgia, CPTSD, and more.
Furthermore, intersectionality and representation of other marginalized communities is a pillar of Unseen Alchemy Publishing. As such, expect to see 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC representation in our stories.
