Marvel has recently been dropping a new “Secret Wars” Legends wave of figures. Nothing too exciting if you ask me, but I appreciate the fact that they are going backwards to move forwards for those who do not know. The original “Secret Wars” comic was only created because Marvel had a new toy deal and they wanted a big event to go with the story. Marvel Legends has been doing different gimmicks for waves in the last several years, and I do find it to be refreshing for the brand, rather than the same figures all the time.
This wave did not interest me much either when it was announced. Until I saw they had Falcon in his original gear with Redwing. Not the robot but the actual Falcon, and I was all in on getting this one. Even though they just dropped an original Falcon 4 years ago, which I purchased. Let me make this clear: I am a collector but not a completionist. I do not need to have all 58 versions of Spider-Man or whoever. I will not trade the other one in. I’ll keep it and charge it to the game, but this is why, as a collector, you must be patient sometimes.
As for this version of Falcon, it was knocked out of the park. 6-inch scale, multiple hands, and the wings come with it as well. The big one for me is having the actual Falcon with it. Perfect size; can go on his wrist. Perfect for posing for all the photographers out there. This is their best Falcon figure if you do not have a Falcon figure and want one. This is the one to get, and I would highly suggest you get him from your retailer or wherever you get your figures, because if you do not, this will be the one on eBay in a few months for 200 bucks, and that will be the standard for years to come. Like how Rogue was for literally years.
This figure is as comic book accurate as it comes, and it is the perfect figure for Falcon fans, collectors, completionists, and Marvel Legends fans. I would give this figure a ten out of ten and in a wave that I am not too impressed with. This figure stands out as one of the best the Legends team has ever done.
