Livewire #12: McKee’s Curtain Call
Livewire #12
It’s the bittersweet end of the road in Livewire #12 (Ayala, Ford, Fitzpatrick), and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t gonna miss this series, and that means a ton in and of itself…

DetailsX-Men #2
X-Men #2 (Hickman, Yu, Alanguilan) is compelling, playing with high stakes and complex ideas, all of which will influence the entire Dawn launch, however it’s let down by less than stellar characterizations and mid-range art.
DetailsCATALYST PRIME: 7 DAYS #2
SEVEN DAYS #2 (Simone, Luis, Trinidade, Madson, Temofonte) does a spectacular job of running the full range spectrum of human emotion while balancing that with engaging action and mystery packed storytelling in a flawlessly illustrated, colored and lettered comic. Bravo!

DetailsJames Bond 007 #12
In James Bond 007 #12 (Pak, Carey) we find out just what this series has been building up to. Friends become enemies, enemies become friends, just who will survive?
DetailsFantastic Four #16
The senses-shattering saga of Spyre plays a number of familiar Fantastic Four riffs and comes up with some new and entertaining things to do with them. This is stuff we’ve seen before in ways that we haven’t seen it. Coming up with material that is true to the FF tradition but isn’t a mere retread of old stories isn’t easy, but Dan Slott seems to be on top of things. I look forward to seeing the full effects of the visit of The Fantastic Four to planet Spyre, and what it will mean to the future.
DetailsTransformers #14
When Bumblebee joins the gang what will eventually become the Decepticons, it turns everything we know on its ear. But, is it entertaining? Find out what happens in ‘Transformers #14’ (Ruckley, Malkova, McGuire-Smith)
DetailsContagion #1-5
Despite having relatively low stakes and no lasting impact on the Marvel Universe, the ‘Contagion’ mini-series (Brisson, Antonio, Segovia, Chater, Couceiro, Gorham) delivers an extremely fun event, worth the time of any fan of Marvel’s street-level cadre of heroes.
