What If…Zombies!?: BRAINS!!!

By Rob PriceSeptember 10, 2021Leave a comment

What If…?

The What If… series allows the show to dip into many different genres. Captain Carter is a 1940s serial, the Dr. Strange episode was a tragic love story, and now we can add “classic horror” to the list, and it is done quite well.

By Mike SpringSeptember 7, 2021Leave a comment

It’s not a huge week this week, but there are some huge releases, spearheaded by the much talked-about Zack Snyder cut of Justice League. I have… a few thoughts about it. And all the other releases this week!

What If… Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands?: A Strange Way to Grieve

By Rob PriceSeptember 4, 2021Leave a comment

What If…?

The emotions in the episode are powerful and you feel for the main character as he tries to deal with his grief. The show makes us address tragedy and how we deal with loss. We end up asking ourselves, what would we do to bring back the ones we love or undo our saddest, most tragic moments.

What If… the World Lost Its Mightiest Heroes?: A Loss of Hope

By Rob PriceAugust 27, 2021Leave a comment

What If…

Continuing with the extremely high quality, episode 3 of the What If… series remains impressive. Before Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) can attempt to recruit the avengers, all the heroes that were on the possible roster begin to die.

What If… T’Challa Became a Star-Lord? And the Universe Rejoiced!

By Rob PriceAugust 20, 2021Leave a comment

What If

The episode pays homage to Chadwick Boseman, who lent his vocal talents to the episode, reprising his role as T’Challa before passing away last year from cancer. This was his final performance and was a wonderful tribute to the actor.

Titans – Season 3: The Rise of the Red Hood

By Rob PriceAugust 13, 2021Leave a comment

Titans

All I can say, without giving it away is, I really enjoyed the first three episodes right up until the very end. And then…And then the world comes crashing down and I am still coming to terms with what happens. I want to scream and yell “WHY!” at the TV, but that really does no good!

What If…?: Peggy Carter Were The First Avenger?

By Rickey PriceAugust 12, 2021Leave a comment

What If…?

I have to say I was wonderfully surprised with the great animation of What If…? The story and the voice acting were also top notch as was the original score. I am really looking forward to more tales from the Watcher as he asks the question: “What If…?”

Stargirl

The second season of the CW’s Stargirl starts off a bit darker, almost like something from a horror movie. It sets the tone for a bit of a more serious episode.
