Bakemonogatari: The Anime of Mini Arcs

We are introduced to Koyomi Araragi and Hitagi Senjogahara in the first episode we see that things are a bit different from what we are used to. This anime isn’t as normal as it may seem once we dip into their and the lives of those they are soon to meet. The eccentric characters that come through our path are much more exciting as we see what Koyomi does to those wandering souls. While he tries to help others that have been inflicted with curses and are wandering ghost that is trying their best to seek peace. Koyomi still at times gets into a bigger mess then he has anticipated when he tries to help these people, and it can be a bit much as he brings them back to the man that helped him. Meme Oshino Is a man that specializes in oddities, while he collects information he also reinforces balance and helps solve cases that Koyomi brings to him. We also tend to notice that not everything seems to be going in order as Meme mentions Koyomi bringing another girl before this. As we move further down the rabbit hole of Bakemonogatari. The anime seems to be in parts instead of an ongoing show, mini-arcs have been separated as we see that the titles are the same but with it ending with “Part One.” A slight spin on the anime and something not really seen before, the anime does itself well with doing these mini-arcs. The people that each one of these arcs is based on, we see their backstory and the lives that they are living with the oddities that they have within them.

While the anime can be slow in the beginning and the dialogue is rapid, while there is a lot going on in the background, I do suggest not spending too much time on the wording that randomly appears. But, I also suggest you do pay attention to what is being said between these characters as they do talk, there are references to other anime in this one. So, be on a look out for that, it is quite entertaining to see these coming in and out of Bakemonogatari. While the arcs are different and so are the openings to each of them, each song does relate to the person the arc is based on. Each one is exciting and catchy once you do hear the opening songs, and each one is very colorful as they all represent the characters involved.
