Review

Basically the plot is as follows. Ash Lynx, a 17-year-old gang member, and leader, is up to speed in the aftermath over a thing or substance named “Banana Fish”, connected to his sibling Griffin and the war in Iraq. Ash’s chief and abuser Dino needs this substance back. In the interim, 19-year-old Eiji from Japan shows up as a photojournalist covering New York’s gang culture, however, he becomes involved with the problem.

The plot makes for a phenomenal spine chiller. There will never be a dull minute in any of the scenes. Not a scene passes by without a couple of significant advancements and things the audience didn’t see coming. Keenly, the anime doesn’t concentrate too much on the puzzle of what “Banana Fish” is, with a lot of other plot advancements going on also. Try not to stress, however, there are genuinely snappy replies with respect to reality with regards to “Banana Fish”, and it’s ending up being more intriguing for the plot than you might suspect to appear from the outset.

The plot is generally interesting, but, banana fish’s key quality is in its characters and the passionate affect the plot’s contort and turns have on both them and us as the watchers. The cast is intriguing and crisp all-round, with pretty much every character being truly affable and critical. The characters and their battles are the beating center of this anime. Truly, I’ve once in a while felt as sincerely triggered into an anime; Banana Fish prevails with regards to getting you to think profoundly about the characters before placing them into terrible circumstances.

Ash became one of those characters in an anime that you really want to root for.  He’s conquered incredible difficulty yet doesn’t regard himself as a casualty. He’s cheeky and sure about settling the score with his various endeavored attackers and abusers, and constantly ingenious in bringing down his foes. You’ll pull for him as he embarks to render retribution on the men – particularly Dino – who’ve demolished his life. However, he’s entirely brilliant and relatable.

Eiji is basically the total inverse to Ash, being innocent about and not used to the universe of the gang life. He appears to be timid. However, adorable from the start, we start to see that he’s much more courageous than we suspected. He’s now truly dedicated to assisting Ash. Truly, you’ll develop to adore him before long, he’s probably going to be the most relatable character for most watchers and might be your favorite character in the series.

Banana Fish is acclaimed for being one of the developmental works in the BL world and has a decent number of LGBT fans. Numerous watchers will value the portrayal of a nearby non-sexual dispassionate connection between two men. The two main characters are so sweet and cute together. There different personalities and dynamics make them a great couple to watch on screen.

Banana Fish is a strong series from studio MAPPA. The design definitely was fresh in liveliness. However, still conspicuously 80s, a pleasant difference in pace from the typical present-day workmanship style. The anime accomplishes great work in delineating the characters, their looks, non-verbal communication, and developments, and so forth. The show’s had some great exciting action scenes that flowed beautifully.

The opening and closure song in the anime are extraordinary. The OP is truly outstanding. The OST is additionally truly outstanding in ongoing anime, a great deal of these tracks would be a great idea to tune in to all alone. The OST truly fits the tone of every scene.

Final Thoughts

Banana Fish is a diamond in the rough and is unfortunately not a popular anime that is overlooked. It's easily one of the best animes of its genre. I would totally recommend it to my friends and fellow anime watchers, unless they are homophobic then I won’t say a word.
