Itadori Yuuji spends his days by indulging himself in paranormal activities and regularly visits his bedridden grandfather. When he comes across a cursed finger which gives power to the one who eats it, he reluctantly takes the chance to save a sorcerer. While the moment passes away, he finds out what trouble he's really got himself into. The finger belongs to the King of Curses, Sukuna, and once all twenty fingers are gathered, a calamity rises upon the world. To eliminate the threat once and for all, Gojo Satoru, a freakishly strong sorcerer, takes Yuuji as his student. Can Yuuji cope with his new lifestyle as sorcerer?
Review
Jujutsu Kaisen has been a sensation ever since it came out in 2021. While there are plenty of other anime which almost took the crown, Jujutsu Kaisen swooped in with spectacular visuals and breathtaking action sequences. So, what makes Jujutsu Kaisen worth the watch?
The anime has a solid plot which gives a great deal of possibilities to introduce memorable characters like Gojo Satoru and Sukuna. While it might seem a bit hard to follow through in the beginning, viewers will get used to it in a few episodes.
Gripping Setting with Curses and Sorcerers!
Setting matters a lot when it comes to action-adventure anime, and JJK does it with perfection. It bases the cursed energy as the main catalyst for power system and uses it with utmost effort to display it. Domains, cursed techniques, and various abilities are pretty cool to look after in this anime.
Especially, whenever characters use their domain, we can’t help but feel chills down our spine. In a sense, these perks add up to character development and also provides some really cool visuals and enticing action scenes.
Memorable & Overpowered Characters!
While we love to memorize characters forever, wouldn’t it be cooler to see them as dominant and overpowered way? Well, we’ve got a freakishly strong sorcerer with unbelievable abilities and a badass villain who is yet to unleash his true potential.
We also have entertaining characters like Itadori and Toudou who later stirs up a remarkable fight scene. For what its worth, Jujutsu Kaisen has done a terrific job in introducing and developing the characters.
MAPPA’s God-Tier Animation!
One thing we always look forward to in an anime is the Animation. MAPPA is well-known for creating quality animated series. However, with Jujutsu Kaisen, it reached beyond the expectations of audience.
During the Gojo’s massacre in the training field, the visuals are unforgettable, and MAPPA has done back to back projects the same year. Even in the last couple of episodes, the fight between Megumi and the cursed creature, Itadori, Nobara vs Cursed Brothers was a feast for the eyes.
Final Thoughts
Jujutsu Kaisen is yet to expand the storyline to bring in new characters and situations which might take the story to the next level. With the incredible first season and a prequel movie, it made its mark, but we have yet to see its true potential. Anyhow, MAPPA is all set to make it possible, and we fans are more excited than ever to witness a further action-packed journey.
