One Piece: 20th Anniversary

We are coming closer to the 20th Anniversary of a classic and loved anime, One Piece. For 20 years, this anime has given us such joy and laughter. Along with sadness and anger towards the characters in the anime. The manga and anime have been around for such a long time that we have to thank Eiichiro Oda for bringing us a wonderful story that we cannot set down, nor ignore. The storytelling of a pirate crew searching and adventuring for the famous treasure One Piece. So, let us set sail with the Mugiwara Pirates!

Crunchyroll has given us such an experience as they put together a timeline for those hardcore fans of One Piece and for those that are just starting out. The completion of the timeline narrated by Tim Lyu who has explained in great and wonderful detail of the birth of Oda-sensei, and arcs that we have all seen repeatedly. The video is over an hour long and while this is daunting, we all know that we have repeatedly binge-watched One Piece, so what is one other video going to do to us but love it even more. After, explaining 31 arcs, 15 One Piece movies (16 counting the new one coming out October 24th), played 44 One Piece games and saw 20 live One Piece events. We are given the world of One Piece in this video, one that has filled our screens for 20 long years, and while we have gasped on the most shocking moments, like Ennis Lobby, cried during Marineford, and we have held on to the dreams of one day finding One Piece with Luffy and his crew. We hold onto that dream as we have heard that the manga completion is coming closer with each chapter that is released.

While Oda-sensei has given us a whirlwind of emotions during the anime, we continue to wait for just one more episode and one more chapter of our beloved One Piece. The world continues to move forward but seeing a well-known anime come closer to their 20th anniversary we cannot help but wonder about those Saturday mornings when the anime used to come out on 4Kids. As we grow so does the anime and their art style as the animation has taken some wonderful and amazing turns. Along with bringing in director Tatsuya Nagamine, who directed Dragon Ball: Broly. While the extent of the anime has kept many entertained and other wide eyes over the 900+ episodes, there are still those that dare to take the challenge of watching the anime from the very beginning.

We want to thank Crunchyroll and Tim Lyu for putting together such a wonderful video for the anniversary of One Piece. And we wanted to also thank Eiichiro Oda for making such a wonderful and beautiful manga for us to read. Along with the many directors, producers, and animators that have given us the anime. We are moving closer to October 20th, the anniversary of One Piece, and they have even given us a wonderful present for October 24th One Piece: Stampede will hit theaters in the U.S. So, mark your dates and wear your One Piece shirts for WE ARE GOING TO THE NEW WORLD!
