REVIEW: Justice League of America #24 (Behold Promethea!)

Mari freshly regenerated from her recent explosion, uses he Tantu Totem to connect her to all of the people who had seen her die. She asks that they sacrifice their wishes to help defeat the Queen’s power. Unbeknownst to her, she has switched to a more potent power source in their Fear. The team still doesn’t know that Vixen is OK, and Mari tries her best to rally support from the bystanders.
Emerging from the portal Promethea engages Tsarita and they battle while the Justice League takes on the remnants of her Woodsmen. Lobo, not pleased with Frost’s betrayal of the team, attacks her. She holds him back, but cannot defeat him for long. The Atom intervenes and shrinks Lobo down to a more manageable size.

REVIEW: Green Lanterns #41 (Hunting the Human Traffickers in Space!)

Having successfully found the cause of the disappearing heroes, Simon and Jessica take Scrapps, the ring leader and one that used the Caper App to further her Human Trafficking ring, into their custody. They are having her lead them to her supplier. Meanwhile Jessica is dealing with the Caper App, saying her perfect match was Simon! They travel off world to a lawless planet called Garnet in the Vega system. A system where they don’t take kindly to Green Lanterns. They once had one, but the ring never chose a successor, because it’s that bad!

REVIEW:Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe #2 Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go!

So remember last issue when Ninjak was blackmailed by Roku who has Nigel’s Wife and daughter held captive? Well he was forced to break into his own headquarters and steal an item of great importance, Asset #147 (We learn what it’s called in this issue). Now on the run from his Unity Team pursuers: Bloodshot, XO Manwar, The Eternal Warrior and Livewire, Colin must get the prize to Roku before she does unspeakable things to Nigel’s Wife and Daughter, and he is being tracked by an injection of Nanites that Roku placed in him to keep him under her control. No Pressure Colin! In a brief moment of Reprieve, Colin opens the Asset to see just what was so important. It appears to be a book.

REVIEW: Detective Comics Annual #1 The Origin of Clayface

Basil Karlo the Second Clayface, and a retelling of his origin story. The tragic nature of the man from famous actor to Clay-faced criminal.
Basil Karlo is a boy that idolized his father. The creature effects that he made for movies seemed to come to life when he would gaze at the empty masks in his Father’s study. His Farther teaches young Basil a thing or two about his secret. It’s a special chemical from The Dagget Corporation called Renu. It was meant to reshape Plastics without heating them, but his Father found that by adding this to a bit of wax and puty, a face can be completely reshaped to anything.

REVIEW: Green Lanterns #40 (Caught in a Caper, or Lanterns’ Swipe Left!)

The Green lanterns have just returned to Earth from a short time on the Planet Ungara. Simon has been living in the Green Lantern barracks and has had a hook up with a Woman Hero Named Night Pilot. They met using an App called Caper (Think of a Tinder just for Super heroes, with secret identities). After striking out against Liseth on Ungara, Simon and Jessica return home to check on things on the Planet Earth.
