DetailsFallen World #1
Bottom line is Valiant has been killing it on all fronts in 2019 so far and this is just another huge check in the #winning category. If this issue is any indication the only downside here is knowing this series is only 5 issues.
DetailsLivewire #6
I’ve sung Vita Ayala’s praises on this title with every issue and this one is no exception.
DetailsIncursion #3
Incursion is a textbook perfect example of why Valiant has been so enduring since the relaunch.
DetailsLivewire #5
If you weren’t already convinced Vita Ayala is on to something great here then she’s just dropped yet another reason why you should be.
DetailsX-O Manowar #26
I was a huge fan of Schonn and Aric being together and despite my irked nerves with this issues, I still am.
DetailsBatman and the Outsiders #1
“the scenes between Katana and Jefferson Pierce alone are amazing. If nothing else this book is worth reading to see how the two play off each other.”
DetailsPsi-Lords #1
Van Lente gambles on stepping away from the established core of what keeps Valiant fans reading and knocks it out of the park.
DetailsX-O Manowar #25
One of the strong suits of X-O Manowar comics is seeing amazing battles and this issue does not disappoint in the least.
DetailsMera Tidebreaker OGN
Danielle Page does a great job making the characters both young and old relatable despite the age of whoever is reading Tidebreaker.
DetailsPunk Mambo #1
Bunn perfectly balances the more “out there” elements of her character with the reality that she’s decades older than she appears and as such is a skilled veteran not to be taken lightly by man or monster. Any doubts you have about whether this book is something substantial or just one long meme about a chick with a pink mohawk that loves the Doors will be dashed by the conclusion of this debut issue.
DetailsIncursion #2
Doug Braithwaite’s art is impeccably perfect here like he’s been waiting for a chance to draw Eternal Warrior against hordes of demons for some time now. Granted he’s not unfamiliar with drawing Gilad’s adventures but just something about each issue has a feeling of fresh energy pumping through every panel.
