Lisey is grieving, confused and has repressed memories both of her childhood and from events that happen with Scott. The flashbacks let us discover things at the same time Lisey is rediscovering them. We share Lisey’s confusion and sense of wonder giving the character a “next level” type of connection with the audience.

They get great vocal talents and tell engaging stories. I so often wonder why some of these scripts aren’t the ones used for the live action movies.

With his unique ability to score his own films, allows his use of sound and music to enhance the atmosphere. As well his beautiful use of light and shadow created movies that are works of art that, at least to me, not only withstands the test of time, but actually far exceeds a lot of what is put out today.
