King of Nowhere #1
King of Nowhere #1 (Prince, Jenkins, Jenkins, AndWorld Design) is a promising beginning to a darkly funny, mysterious, and pleasantly off-kilter miniseries.
DetailsA decidedly flat end to a decidedly flat miniseries, Hellmouth #5 (Bellaire, Lambert, Carlini) succeeds only in asking readers why they spent money on it in the first place.
DetailsRed Mother #3
Red Mother #3 (Haun, Luckert, Dukeshire) offers a beautiful balance of humanity, mystery, and monstrosity. It also proves this title is still worth keeping an eye on.
DetailsAlienated #1
Alienated #1 (Spurrier, Wildgoose, & May) provides complex characters and emotional art to create a wonderfully put together story that is impressive on all levels.
DetailsBuffy the Vampire Slayer #12 (Bellaire, Lopez, Angulo) is chock-full of unearned character beats, ill-defined art, and vague plot contortions, showing that maybe the time isn’t right after all for a new, rebooted vision of the Slayer and her crew after all if this is the result. Disappointing to say the least.

DetailsHellmouth #4
Hellmouth #4 (Bellaire, Lambert, Carlini): What should have been a huge moment – Buffy discovering that Angel is a vampire – feels weightless, which is an apt of a description for this threadbare miniseries as I can think of.
DetailsIn Buffy #11 (Bellaire, Lopez, Angulo), all of the Slayer’s friends and frenemies come together at last – just in time for newly-minted Slayer Kendra to hit the scene as “Hellmouth” hits its penultimate chapter!
DetailsIt’s Spike and Gunn to the rescue in Angel #8 (Hill, Melnikov, Titov) with Fred in the clutches of Wolfram & Hart! With Angel out of town dealing with an insurgent Hellmouth, can an untested Gunn and a soulless Spike win the day?
DetailsHellmouth #3 (Bellaire, Lambert, Carlini) continues to plod along with Buffy and Angel’s first meeting, an event that should feel huge – but instead, is mired in doldrums.
