Criminal #12 (Brubaker, Phillips): “Cruel Summer” comes to a stark, gut-wrenching conclusion, bringing the current volume of Criminal to a close and with it, many of the book’s over-arching subplots. A master class in sequential storytelling, it’s almost a cliche to say about this book at this point that comic’s don’t get any better than this.
