The front panel features the (Mad)man himself running at you in all his embossed glory weilding twin yo-yos. By his sides are many other characters from his comic adventures including his girlfriend Joe as Madwoman, Max from X-ray Robot, Astroman as well as Warren and Marie. On the back panel you will find It Girl along with the rest of The Atomics (Metal Man, Black Crystal, Mr. Gum, and The Slug) striking their best poses with a classic atom design in the background. Meanwhile, the bottom panel features Madman and Joe cruising along in Dr. Booffard’s Magnacar while Mr. Gum stretches his way around the handle on the top panel. Finally, on the side panels you can find Red Rocket 7 jamming on his guitar as he’s cheered on by an audience of outer space aliens opposite X-Ray Robot and Dr. Max Wilding who are clearly ready for their close-up.
This awesome bit of metal memorabilia was made possible by the collaborative efforts of one Chris Irving of Inner Workings podcast (www.iwpodcast.com) along with Mike and Laura Allred and was funded by a Kickstarter campaign and the results are fantastic. The box itself is of a sturdy build you would expect of a classic collectible food transport unit; with a solid metal design and sturdy plastic handle. This was made a limited run of 500 and there are currently no plans of a second print run, so grab one while you can at TheDrawnWord.com. Sure to make you the coolest (and Madest) kid on the block… then all you will need is a matching thermos. ?
