Recap

The only thing standing between the Ironclads and rescuing their kidnapped friend, Peris, is the Citadel, the most heavily-fortified location on Xeru, the army of Armorclads guarding it, and the battle raging between the Citadel’s forces and an army of Legionnaires. Is this the end of the line, or have they come too far to turn back now?

Review

One more issue after this! I can’t believe it! So many questions, can’t wait to see how this series ends. The one thing I love about this series above all is the almost medieval feel the lore has, even though it has a futuristic base, something about how it is written feels almost like a table-top rpg story, in the best way. The writers do such a great job each issue expanding the lore of the land and leaving more questions on to the mystery behind why these people are even here and what it is all for.

Another thing the writers do so well is make such likable characters, Ada is an amazing leader and main character and she has had so much development through-out this whole series. I really can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for her in the final issue of this fantastic series. I hope we get to see more of this new, and enjoyable, side of Valiant. It’s nice to get something fresh and new from a powerhouse company.

The art on the series continues to be supendus too! The weapons, while big and futuristic, still have a sense of realism to them (which we lose a lot of the time in sci-fi stories like this). The differences between the mecha of the Armonclads and the enemies are so well done. It shows more details on the class system in this world. The buildings and cityscapes in this issue are also so freaking cool!

The one thing I wish this series had more of is pages, I really want to see more of this stunningly crafted world, in art and writing. I also want a warhammer like game with these characters! Valiant, please?

Final Thoughts

Man, it's such a shame that good things like this series have to end, but I can’t wait to read the last issue! This is a stand out series, with wondrous talent! I really do wish that everyone would check this series out, and that this world can continue to grow, even after next issue.
