Review

I really liked this issue, I just wished I knew what the hell was going on in it. Nick Spencer gives us some classic Spidey moments, looks at some past Spidey events from a different point of view, the mysterious villain continues to haunt Norman Osborn/Cletus Kassidy, but at the same exact time, Norman Osborn is terrorizing Normie Osborn, Dylan Brock, and Spider-Man? There are three different storylines going on at the same time. If you read them separately, they’re awesome. But when they’re pushed together into one comic, it gets to be a bit confusing. Despite that, it was a really good issue. It continues directly where the last issue left off and sets things up really nicely for the next issue.

Artist Ryan Ottley does another great job with this issue. And can I say just one thing? God bless him for using an actual INKER. Cliff Rathburn flies in outta nowhere and embellishes like nobody else. We get textures! Shading! It’s incredible!! I don’t care if it’s a time thing or a cost-saving thing, I want Inkers back. I don’t care what you say, for my money, all comic art is better with an inker!!

Final Thoughts

This comic is definitely worth buying. You're gonna get your money's worth of thrills, drama, action, and fun. It also adds an extra bonus if you're following the Absolute Carnage storyline.
