A lone drifter in the void of space, Silver Surfer does his brooding sentinel thing well until crazy comes along. After successfully saving a seemingly doomed refugee from the horrific catastrophes of the Negative Zone, our main man Norrin is drawn into the depraved conflict. The Revengers have it out for the Power Cosmic wielding phantom but Galactus ain't raise no sucka so it's on and popping with the Silver Surfer stumbling upon the one man who might have the answers to stop The Sentry and his horde: Robert Reynolds!
Review
Well can we just keep it real here? If Dan Abnett’s name is on a comic you already know you’re in for a good time. The twist here is that not only did Abnett make this issue great but he also made Silver Surfer Black more interesting. Now hear me out before ya light the pitchforks, SS: Black had some truly 10/10 astronomically well done art. Easily one of the best pieces art wise of the last 5-10 years or so but Radd vs Knull cuz reasons and time travel shenanigans also cuz reasons? Nah I’m good on that one.
Abnett takes Silver Surfer’s new status as a phantom and shows the potential for it. Surfer being able to intervene with his destructive abilities but not being able to merely touch another being is new territory for the Surfer and if he ever makes it back to Earth will offer up some interesting tales with his newfound support cast from Allred’s run (or what’s left of it). But more importantly what you’ve all been waiting for: SILVER SENTRY!!!
Bruh I’m gonna just leave ya with this. Bob Reynolds has the knowledge on how to defeat the Sentry and Silver Surfer is well Silver Surfer. The two merged into one being and headed right into the lion’s den? Yes, so much yes! Yeah if that doesn’t get you to crack this issue open then you might wanna get your pulse checked.

Silver Surfer vs the Void and his massive army of zombified Avengers, nuff said.
