Recap

Arthur, Callie (who now looks like lady Blue Devil) and the old sea gods square off against Namma, the tide is high, the seas are heaving, insert nautical pun here and it's OVER!

Review

A decent albeit quick issue that leaves me wondering where this series is heading, as Arthur and his buddies return to the Village of Unspoken water to drink the… Unspoken Water? Ok… I’m curious whether this means Arthur will get his memories back and kick some butt with his sweet new trident, or maybe he won’t and he’ll roam the countryside like David Carradine with a sweet new trident. I found the resolution satisfactory enough but I’m not sure where next issue is headed.

I liked the fight with Namma enough and the art by Robson Rocha and Sunny Cho continues to be impressive, it just seemed a little convenient and oddly similar to that meme that’s been circulating involving Antman and Thanos’ ass of all things. I’m gonna have to read this whole arc over again I think, which is not a bad thing.

Final Thoughts

A strange end to an interesting arc, definitely worth your time.
