The demonic mummy seeks an ancient Egyptian book of souls and will stop at nothing to possess it! Can Ash put his differences aside with a near-peak condition Elvis long enough to teach this undead thief a lesson? Find out in the Vegas-styled winner-takes-all showdown, where the loser gets his soul sucked out!

Review

What could be better than meeting the one and only Elvis? Meeting him in his prime, of course. Tho, Ash isn’t always the best at first impressions.

This issue was a fun progression if story that added some interesting new aspects. It’s interesting seeing the difference in character between the older Elvis from Bubba Ho-Tep in the first issue vs Elvis from the 70s in this issue. This was an enjoyable read, filled with the classic Bruce Campbell humor that makes this series great.

The art seemed a bit rushed at points but overall worked well with the stories and did an outstanding job capturing the feel of the real life inspirations for the characters. Federici does a great job capturing the posture and mannerisms of not only Campbell’s Ash but the King of Rock and Roll as well.

Interesting developments and a cliffhanger ending helped to make this an exciting issue that captured the characters wonderfully.

Final Thoughts

Interesting plot developments and a great depiction of characters makes this a great progression of the story introduced in issue #1.
