That’s right. Although this is only issue three there’s been so much plot, character, backstory, and moments packed into this series you’d be mistaken for thinking you’ve already collected the first two trades.

That’s the rocket fueled pace and mania of the ideas that the creative team pull off with glitz and gore.

You don’t have time to catch your breath but you’ll have a hell of a time keeping up.

Isn’t that how you want a comic to make you feel? If you like over the top violence don’t you want as much side scrolling shoot-em up feels in their as possible?

You’ll get it. You’ll get moments that will make you do literal spit takes and wind you to no end, such is the pin-point accuracy of the punchy humor.

You’ll get snippets of social commentary that are so perfectly planted you won’t ever feel that their on the nose.

You’ll be in awe of how much fleshed out personality characters with names like F#*K Tarkington, Taipan, David Bowie Knife (R.I.P) and …um.. Dave.. can actually carry and pull off.

It’s off the wall cartoon violence with a human element. It’s a roller-coaster of tropes, homages, and apes that blend furiously to be something addictive and original.

It’s page after page of smart subversion and sharp wit.

It dares you to pick a favorite character and cling to hope that they’ll make it out of the issue and then kills them off in front of you, sadistically, and shows you how cheap their fictional lives are.

It’s leading to an ending that feels like we should really all see coming, but theirs also this ingenious planting of doubt that, just when you think you have all the answers, this book is going to change every question.
