Recap

Review

What could be better than a team, any team fighting Fin Fang Foom? Nothing, that’s what. This issue the Agents of Wakanda (minus the Black Panther) take on the dragon that everyone has a place in their hearts for. I have to say, I have really enjoyed this book, from the first issue to this one they’ve taken a band of lesser-used heroes and threw them together to face the stuff that the Avengers were to “busy” to take care of. Author Jim Zub does a superb job of evenly distributing screen time, interesting characterization, and fighting as well. Zub has really gotten a feel for these characters and it really shows here. I won’t spoil the team, but he’s able to logically give everybody something to do that only they could’ve done and then puts all those pieces together to bring the issue to a fantastic close. I was also impressed with Zub’s research into the characters. There are things that are casually referenced that took place a loooong time ago and that I thought only I remembered. Well done job, by Jim Zub.

Lan Medina penciled this issue beautifully. There are two ways you can go with Fin Fang Foom-realistic or cartoony. Medina found a happy medium. He makes Foom look distinctly different from the style of the other characters, but one that definitely belongs in their universe. Aside from that, the art is really solid. There are many, many different characters in this issue and they all look great and they all look like they’re supposed to. Great job all around this issue!!
