Recap

After listening to The Burned and their sales pitch to get the baddest dude in town, Bloodshot, on their side. He decides to go on a "try out" mission with them that as you can guess gets hella bloody real fast.

Review

Tim Seeley man, I just wanna hug this guy, just when you think you know where this is going he throws you a sick new angle. Let’s be real we can pretty much bank on the Burned and Bloodshot coming to a head at some point and yeah we’ve been there but it’ll still be dope so who cares, enjoy it. The crazy part though will be the part where Bloodshot is gonna tackle Black Bar the current “yeah we mean business and that business is murder, murder, murder.” Black ops villains and rescue their Weapon Xish indentured servant Eidolon.

This issue alone was dope, really is, it highlights what we don’t get to see very often. Bloodshot in a team (that’s not Unity) but also being able to bounce his comedic side off of other capable allies in combat. The levity combined with the mutant animal human hybrids slaughtering people and all the other chaos absolutely sells this book. But opening a new arc with “I’m gonna give the biggest up yours to the guys currently hunting me I can think of.” Is the kinda thing that is textbook perfect for Bloodshot and why Seeley and Booth need to work on this book together for like 500 issues or something.

Final Thoughts

Bloodshot #4 is yet another prime example of just how well done action books can be. Yeah it's loaded up with the kinda guns blazing, quip throwing action Steven Seagal wishes he could rebuild his career with but it also has real grit to it. The Seeley squad is straight up killing it.
