Review

This issue is a fun read! You are left with more questions than answers which isn’t a bad thing, I want to know who the cult is. The storytelling so far is done well. The last issue I had mentioned Duggan is a smart writer, he does a good job at giving younger Cable a character that is a little different than the elder Cable. At the same time not so far from the original that you can believe that is how he would have been at a younger age.

As a fan of Emma, I do like enough how she is written, yes she can be a cold-hearted telepath but she has always cared for her kids (cloned or not). On the other side as someone who never loved the idea of the Cuckoos, he does write Esme really well, I want to learn more about the fivesome.

I loved the surprise appearance by Deadpool. Deadpool is Deadpool and for the life of me, I cannot NOT read Ryan Reynolds’s voice when I read Deadpool.

We have Noto on art, and as I said in my last review, the art is stunning, it’s so smooth, it’s beautiful. I mean he is probably one of my top five artists of all time. Needless to say, I think it was great. Every panel is gorgeous.

Overall, the issue was a good read, it had all the parts moving parts of a good story. This issue was a story builder which will more-than-likely have a big pay off. I am interested in seeing how the cult story goes.

Final Thoughts

Cable #3 continues story building in a beautifully illustrated issue with a trio of Space knights that may be taking over our world.
