Coda #11: Things Fall Apart

As all seems lost and Murk seems poised to become the highest authority in all the land, this series continues to be one of the most exciting and unpredictable books on the racks. Theres no telling what will come next as we are one issue from this series’ conclusion.

This issue does a great job showing the true brilliance of Hum. While on the outside he seems he’s given up, beneath the surface he’s planning his next steps and cooking up some off the wall idea that no one sees coming. His development has been an interesting journey so far and I’m interested to see how it plays out in the end. He and Murk are great antagonists to one another which is sure to make for an exciting conclusion.

The art was outstanding as always. The pastel psychedelic color palette combined with the details in the linework create an awkward excitement that enhances the story in a brilliant way. Between the overall style of the book and interesting news like Murk’s new form, the expressive little goblins, and some interesting new character designs; this book is a joy to look at.

This was yet another great issue in a truly enjoyable series. I’m excited to see how this story ends.
