Coda #12
Recap
The story of Hum and the Nag comes to a close.
Review
This issue has been a fun and exciting rollercoaster ride and this final issue is no exception. A spectacular end to an outstanding series.
To the last moment, Spurrier made this an amazing story. This issue starts off with all hope being lost but another stroke of brilliance from Hum leads to a twist, that turns the tides in a major way. The love between Hum and Serka, the megalomaniacal Murk, and practically every aspect of this book was ingeniously written. This was an exciting, emotional, and all around outstanding issue; a perfect conclusion to an astoundingly written issue.
Likewise, the art for this issue was astounding. Bergara truly delivers with mind-blowing panel layouts and breathtaking splash pages complete with vibrant colors by Bergara and Doig. Add to that Jim Campbell’s versatile letters and this was an awesome book down to every last detail.
This is a definite must read series that starts great and has a continual build in quality.
Final Thoughts
An outstanding ending to a spectacular series, filled with breathtaking art and a brilliant story. Read this book!
