What You Need to Know:
Matt Murdock is the acting Mayor of New York City, as his predecessor Wilson Fisk has been incapacitated by Hand Ninjas. On a rooftop conference with Blindspot ( who Matt had dubbed his Bodyguard), Matt was struck ill by a Green mist that enveloped the city. Foggy, his chief of staff, and Blindspot took indoors to recover, and out of this Green fog Emerges a Mysterious man in a Metal suit. That man claimed to be Matt Murdock’s priest, Father Jordan.

Father Jordon also claims to be part of a clandestine order of the Dragon. Father Jordan is able to exorcize the Greenish smoke from Matt, and they will form their plan of attack. Surprisingly, Matt is fine and none the worse for wear.

Jordan mentions that the organization he is with are few, but well-trained fighters. They are ready to fight and lay their lives down for the cause.

What You’ll Find Out:
Meanwhile, a brief history of the Order of the Dragon. We hear the story and origins. Nothing though of where they were during other Marvel events, but Daredevil books have always done their own thing anyway. Except for Inferno, where Matt fought a Vacuum Cleaner (and lost).

With that, the Order is given for the attack. Daredevil leads the charge with the Flying Dragons close behind. They follow him on jetpacks and gliders. They plan a full frontal assault on the Beast’s lair.

What Just Happened?
Daredevil follows the fog to its genesis point and the building is crawling with Hand ninjas. They clear the roof of enemies, and Daredevil is impressed with the ferocity of the Dragon Priests. They throw Matt a sword, though he protests in his inner monologue, and he attempts to strike down the Beast.

As he lands the killing blow, the Beast disappears (Ready for him) and jumps out of the nearby window. Matt pursues, with the remnants of the Order of the Dragon close behind. As he lands, Matt realizes, that this was a ploy all along. The Hand gets the drop on Matt and the Priests. They lose their crossbows, with flaming Green arrows!

Back at the Mayor’s Office, Foggy works on Damage control. Steven tries to assist the best he can, but there is an interruption and suddenly, The Mayor himself, Wilson Fisk bursts in through the door. He is garbed in a Hospital Gown and carrying an Oxygen tank and an IV with him, as he kindly demands Mr. Nelson to get out of his chair.

Final Thought:

What a surprise ending, but it’s almost over too soon. We all knew that Fisk was tough, and coming back from those arrow wounds is a feat unto itself, but I thought that Matt would have more time as the Mayor. All he did so far was to undo one of Wilson’s plans and release the Heroes.

The Beast is a bit more wily than I expected and looks an awful lot like Mojo from the X-Men. This was a good fake-out and a believable gambit for the Hand. This is a story that is building steam and about to blow up in everyone’s faces. So keep tuned if you like the drama of political intrigue and Super Hero action!
