DEADPOOL: BAD BLOOD #1
Recap
Yes, Bad Blood was originally released in 2017 as an OGN. But now it's serialized, and it's just as fun now as it was then!
Review
If nostalgia is on the menu, I’ll take it with a side of chimichangas and one of those colossal margarita drinks with all the weird shit in it.
Deadpool comics are always going to be Deadpool comics. Now, I say that in the same convention that you know what you are going to get and that can be refreshing. It doesn’t always work with everything character on the shelves, but for Wade, it works, and it works well. Bullets, jokes, and regeneration id Deadpool in a nutshell, but if you were to ask Wade, he would add his profitability to the equation!
Deadpool: Bad Blood was originally released in 2017, and it was Deadpool’s first OGN. Fast forward five years, and we are getting it as a serialized release. Stop that! Don’t roll your eyes… this is a good thing. Let me tell you why. Whenever you have a re-release, it has the grandest opportunities to introduce the character to a new batch of fans. Plus, anytime you can get Rob Liefeld back on Deadpool is a good thing.
Who’s Thumper? No, not the adorable rabbit from Bambi. I’m talking about the massive being that keeps finding Deadpool and takes a great liking to beating the snot out of our hero? Well, that’s what Wade seeks to find out in Deadpool: Bad Blood #1. As Wade dodges, ducks, dips, dives, and dodges the mysterious villain while he attempts to jog his memory as to who this Thumper could be. As he meets up with none other than Domino, words and arguments ensue. As the flashback proceeds, we look behind the curtain and start to dig out the puzzle pieces and figure out what all this means and who Thumper could be.
Final Thoughts
Deadpool comics are fun, and Bad Blood is no exception. If you are new to Deadpool, I hope you enjoy it. The creative team is solid all around, the jokes are always a good time, and anytime Rob can sneak a foot quip into the panel, that makes it that much more light-hearted and funny.
