Recap

A shocking moment has come upon us as we see that the Hashira (Pillars) have been cut down one by one, but now the fight continues, and they have no time to mourn. The fight with Muzan is coming towards a close as the building has collapsed. We are seeing that we only have one and a half-hour left until the sun rises, but dread has set in as Muzan has pulled forward and is ready to take everyone down with him. But, even so, the Demon Slayer Corps have arrived and are throwing themselves in front of the Hashira and sacrificing their lives for them. For they are the only ones that are able to take down Muzan, but even now, the Hashira beg them to stop doing this for their life means something. As the end of the chapter is drawing near, we see the Tanjiro has been taken down Muzan and an announcement that he has died has trigged everyone.

Review

The chapter has given us so much but so little in just nineteen pages, we are in tears over what has happened between Muzan, the Demon Slayer Corps, and the Hashira. While the writing is beyond words, and the art in the manga will always
be beautiful and tragic as well. We can’t help but wonder what is going to happen next as the next chapter won’t be released until December 1st. However, there are more questions that are presenting itself as we have gone through the scenes, and here are some of them. Where is Sanemi Shinazugawa and Gyomei Himejima? These two Hashira have been MIA since the confrontation between Giyuu, Tanjiro, and Muzan. There has been no announcement if there are alive or dead, they have completely disappeared from the manga and no word has been given. While there have been leaks throughout the internet of the new chapters, there has still not been a word of what has happened to them both. While they had been fighting the Upper Moon One (Kokushibo) and won, but that winning had been filled with tragedy. The loss of Genya might have taken such a toll of Sanemi, which can explain his absence of why he is not there, however, that does not explain why Gyomei isn’t there.

The last of the fight is coming forward now, and we are missing many of the main characters of the Demon Slayer Corps and what they have all been fighting for. The end of Muzan has always been a goal for them all, so why is it that Sanemi and Gyomei aren’t there? Many others have also been missing, while we have confirmed that Upper Moon Four had surrounded the compound in the maze that she had created, there are more characters that have been MIA as well. Such as Aoi Kanzaki, Sumi Nakahara, Kiyo Terauchi, Naho Takada, and Murata. While we know that Murata was with Yushiro when Yushiro had gone off to help fight Upper Moon Four. These questions are swirling around as we have seen so much yet, so little. We may have the fight coming to a close, but the questions still plague us, and we have to wonder if this is also the end of Tanjiro as well, the crows may have announced it, but will this truly end with his death? Koyoharu Gotouge is truly playing with our emotions on this one, and we hope that this isn’t the end of the Demon Slayer Corps, or Tanjiro either.

Final Thoughts

We will have to wait until December 1st until the next chapter comes out and see if this is going to be answering our questions and see what has been going on with the absences of the last two Hashira. And many more questions that need answers as well so here is to hoping that Chapter 185 will give us just that and we hope that Tanjiro lives to fight another day, and see Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. December 1st can’t come fast enough so that we can see what will happen next.
