Fallen World #3
Recap
Review
Dan Abnett, I just can’t fanboy out on this book enough. Dan Abnett takes the reigns of all things 4001 AD and has crafted something truly amazing. By the end of issue #1, I was more than content with his direction and by the end of #2, I was already singing this book’s praises. By the end of this one? I don’t even know I’m probably gonna do karate in my garage for awhile until I chill out enough to let the 30-day wait sadness kick in. If you’re new to Valiant or a day one fan like myself I officially dare you to find something legitimately bad about this book.
Try, I’ll wait, I’ll be right here.
Oh and of course I can’t leave without saying how spot on Adam Pollina’s art is here. The guy is drawing literally everything from hulkesque elephant men to cybernetic samurai to friggin’ enormous blooming flowers and plant people, and every panel is spectacular. Dan Abnett and Adam Pollina would have to be conjoined twins to mesh together any better than they already are with each issue of Fallen World.
Final Thoughts
If you're not reading Fallen World already, ask yourself why do you hate fun so much and then cut it out and pick up Fallen World #3 with the quickness! This book has everything to Final Fantasyish mystery to a war with machines that makes the Matrix look like the Matrix Reloaded. Abnett and Pollina are dropping straight up fire issue after issue.
