Recap

The Freedom Fighters achieve a giant symbolic victory and the hunt intensifies as Adolf Hitler the third, a sadistic murderer, is brought in. Meanwhile in the mystical realm of ideas, The Heartland, Uncle Sam awakens at last, it's about to get real!

Review

Man, this issue hit some really solid notes from the more thorough look at Adolf Hitler III, to some more character moments for the team. I appreciated a little background on Doll Woman (and I mean a little, not much is given) and a closer look at Human Bomb without his suit. Neat. It is nice that Uncle Sam is back a little earlier than I expected at the end of the first act (in a traditional 3 act storytelling format) rather than the halfway point or even later as i was worried it might be.

I liked the small side story of the two young soldiers and their gruesome fate a lot. Small tidbits of background like this help to solidify the brutal differences between Earth X and the Earth Prime we know. Adolf III is a perfect type of true evil that makes him so easy to oppose but also really interesting to watch.

The art by Eddy Barrows and Eber Ferriera is nothing short of amazing. Really great. Everyone should be reading this phenomenal book.
