Review
Man this issue was a blast (pun intended, Human Bomb!), I’m really enjoying this alt universe take on the DC Universe. The series is moving a little quicker than I expected, I didn’t think Uncle Sam was coming back till #6 and I was worried Overman wouldn’t show his face till #10, we’re well ahead of schedule by my count.
It’s interesting to notice that the team still isn’t much of a team, squabbling and bickering issue after issue. I predict a rousing Uncle Sam speech sometime soon! It better be real soon it looks like Overman is coming. I’m hoping Uncle Sam gets up to full power soon for some Nazi punching!
The art by Eddy Barrows, Eber Ferriera and Adriano Lucas is phenomenal with one exception, the sequence where Human Bomb attacks the War Wheel was really hard to follow, I read it 2 or 3 times and it took a minute to get the progression, just a note. (Pictured below) Otherwise I LOVE the art in this series.
Final Thoughts
A really fun entry in a good series, no high society here, just Nazi punching fun!
