Gideon Falls #11
Recap
At last Norton Sinclair and the Preacher meet, in the Black Barn. They find themselves face to face with the real Norton (whom we found out last issue was a GF "serial killer" (black barn?) who disappeared when the barn did) and are shown what could possibly the origin of the evil found within the barn. As OG Norton attempts to open a door to other worlds (successfully and spectacularly might I add!) and is infected with an ancient evil!
Review
I could probably start every review of this series the same; WHAT THE #*$%$&#!!!!!!!!! So bonkers and strange, but soo good. This issue definitely felt like a trademark Lemire info dump with the nature of the Black Barn, the Smiling Man, “Norton Sinclair”, and the dimensional weirdness all laid out fairly cohesively this issue. I found the end insanely interesting as well but I won’t spoil that or the actual events within the Barn.
The art by Andrea Sorrentino is nuts, I will say it’s hard to tell what’s going on at times but that’s the point haha. I loved the spread of the multiverse laid out to see, so super interesting. Again I can’t say much more because I don’t want to spoil anything. This issue really has to be seen firsthand.
Final Thoughts
If you aren't reading this book you're wrong.
