What You Need to Know:

The infinity stones are reborn and spread across the multi-verse. The Guardians and the Nova Corps joined forces realizing the power stone is controlled by the mind of the beholder. Meanwhile, Adam Warlock fights Ultron for the survival of the Universe and the Silver Surfer pleads with Lifebringer, aka Galactus to help save the Universe.

What You’ll Find Out:

Infinity Countdown #4 begins with an opening tease with the dwarf creating something, a weapon, armor, or maybe even a head for the mysterious Requiem. The story immediately jumps to Lifebinger denying the Silver Surfer’s plea as the burden and cost would be great. Back to Knowhere, Groot informs the others that Ant-man was brutally killed. After a little Guardian comedy, the team fight with the Nova Corps and the United has fallen.

Peter Quill is oddly summoned by the request of The Collector and his brother, The Grandmaster. They spent dearly for an infinity stone that does not seem to work and highly recommends Star-Lord to explain. Suddenly, they are interrupted by a Phyla-Vel from another reality demanding this Reality Stone belongs to her.

Ultron releases his hellish plans and Adam Warlock is uncertain that he can defeat Ultron alone. The Silver Surfer returns with Lifebringer who defeats Ultron at a heavy burden and a huge cost!

On a good note; The Saul Stone is now in the hands of Adam Warlock.

What Just Happened?

In a very short time, Infinity Countdown #4 explains a lot of what is happening currently and hints what’s yet to come. The Guardians storyline is the typical fun and lighter side of the storyline as they found out these stones may not be everything they seem, as others exist in other realities. Adam warlock vs Ultron is fast paced and action packed and play off well with the Silver Surfer and Lifebringer (Galactus). The storytelling and dialogue work well with philosophical notes along the way. One question; “Is Ant-man really dead?”

Rating: 8 /10
Final Thought: Overall, Infinity Countdown #4 moves the plot with a great story and descriptive dialogue. Using comedy in one storyline and the seriousness of the others makes this title so exhilarating with all the twists and turns.
