Review
While this issue did feel a bit like it was biding time before the climax of the series, it was still filled with great scenes, awesome references to the film, and some great additions to the Labyrinth universe.
While I’m the story Beetleglum is recalling for Toby, Maria has found her way to the Owl King’s castle, she still needs to find her way through the castle and to the throne of the king. Likewise, in the story at hand, Sarah has found her way to the castle, sending Jareth into a frenzy to prepare for her arrival.
The art in this issue was certainly some of the best in the series so far. Early in the issue we are treated to a wonderful two-page splash panel of the rebellion facing off against the Owl King’s army where you can really feel the action as the scene draws your eyes directly from one action to another. Also, there’s many great panels showing off some of the labyrinth’s wonders, including some of the terrifying beasts that lurk in the labyrinth’s waters.
This was an overall enjoyable addition to the series, I can’t wait to see what’s in store in the two final issues.
Final Thoughts
The pacing of this issue felt a bit slow but it redeems itself with wonderful art and great references and additions to the Labyrinth mythos.

As a Bowie/Henson/Lucas fan I tried to read this series, but couldn’t get past the flashback scene in issue #1…that is one shite Bowie illustrated representation.
The cover is fine Fiona Staples does a good job on the cover but Daniel Bayless just SUX at drawing db.
