Review

I had been having doubts about this series with the last couple issues but this issue was a spectacular end to the series. Maria has finally reached her final confrontation with the Owl King but what happens if she doesnt save her son on time?

I really couldn’t think of a more perfect and fitting end for this series; written in such a genius way that it would be hard to find fault or to feel it wasnt the ending you wanted. A grand yet ambiguous ending, happy yet bittersweet.

The art for the issue was great, as it has been consistently throughout the series. Tho much of the issue was drab and gloomy, splashes of light and color helped to keep it from being too dark. As usual, the art excelled on the splash pages which made for great details and movement.

I couldn’t have asked for a better end to this series, it provided a good sense of closure while still staying true to the original film.

Final Thoughts

A spectacular ending to a great series that managed to capture the feel of the film splendidly.
