Review

One thing that often gets handled with too much levity is superhero Fist fights, that being said Kano makes you feel every hit in a beautifully drawn brawl in the issues opening pages. Issue after issue he’s proven why he was the right choice to illustrate this book and #7 is no exception.

Vita Ayala continues to weave an engrossing story about the nature of people and super people as much as it’s about super heroics. The pacing of the reveals while a tad predictable are done in such a fashion that the reader won’t mind one bit. This issue is lighter on exposition through dialogue than usual but at the same time speaks volumes. Subtle layers are expertly strewn across the pages that make us ponder the nature of truth, the court of public opinion and what desperation will drive people to do. All in all just another solid issue that further delves into just what makes Lovewire unique and endearing as well as enduring.

Final Thoughts

Amazing fights, double crosses, social commentary that isn't preachy yet still powerful. What's not to love? The only downside is knowing we gotta wait another 30 days to see what happens next.
