Mighty Morphin #2
Who is the new Green Ranger? What will come of the Omega Rangers "rangernapping" Drakkon? What is Lord Zedd up to with his newest mystery scheme?
The latest chapter of the new era of Rangerdom is here. Parrott brings some serious weight to an already fantastic series. The Omega Rangers are on the cusp of a looming new threat, one so severe that they run off with the Rangers greatest enemy to date.
That alone is nuts, but there’s more than one iron in the fire here.
The mystery of this new Green Ranger is fantastic too, a mystery that seems to dodge the most obvious answer: Drakkon is the new Green Ranger, because it seems to be the case that he’s not. So who? No idea but trying to piece the clues together is more than enough on it’s own to keep you coming back each month.
The interactions between Bulk and Skull, which I won’t spoil for ya, is not only heartwarming but a solid reminder why they’ve been such an endearing and enduring part of the MMPR franchise. The Rangers are thoroughly fleshed out as related people but Bulk and Skull just bring something special to the table.
The artwork is top-notch too, Renna, Ranalli and Baiamonte just kill it all of their contributions blending together for a high energy, bombastic art that uniquely brings the Ranger world to life. The humor punches just as clear and efficient as the bursting action scenes. The new villains look awesome as do the Rangers in action. Bottom line you really couldn’t ask for a more fitting team.
If you're wondering why the Ranger comics are going strong and getting so much hype, this is the perfect time to dive right in.
