Review
The 30th anniversary is here! The beloved and cherished series of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers gives fans a collective story from different creative teams who have an astounding love and understanding for the beloved franchise.
The first of this fantastic collection is Ode to Ernie. Parrott starts Ernie off with a very busy shift and shows the daily stress he experiences. Ernie makes a starting reveal to the rangers that he plans to sell the store as while it used to be his dream, it’s no longer safe for people to go there due to monster attacks. The pink ranger then reveals to Ernie that they have always been customers and how the shop means the world to them.
The second wonderful story is Wedding Vows! A beautiful story of Tommy and Kat’s wedding. Flores writes a bittersweet story that shows the relationship of Tommy and Kat over the years and how even with time and adventures apart, their unbreakable love never wavered. Prasetya draws a beautiful issue and creates a gorgeous dress for Kat. She looks absolutely stunning as Tommy looks incredibly handsome even as he fights a villain. Herms uses color to show the incredible different rangers Tommy was and his passion of being a ranger.
The third installment is Alpha Directive. Groom delivers a sweet look into the perspective of Alpha and their important role of support of Zordon and the Rangers over the long years. Renna and Antonellini are a great artistic duo for this story as they are able to bring to life the support Alpha has selflessly given to others during his time. The final panel hits the audience as Alpha makes their objective clear to always make sure others aren’t alone and that Zordan especially won’t have to experience that alienating feeling.
The fourth story is re-imagine! This insightful story is co- written by Hotson and the icon herself, Amy-Jo Johnson! To see a story co-written by the woman that brought the character to life is spectacular. Mortarino and Lafuente come together as a great artistic combo to illustrate the memories of Kimberly, one of the greatest pink rangers to exist. This remarkable ending has Kimberly taking on a new identity of Emma Phillips to reinvent herself and a glimpse of what’s to come for future stories of this character. A rare perspective to have Johnson tell a chapter like this.
Ranger Academy: office hours. This is a delicate story that Mora writes to demonstrate the impacts the rangers have made and how much they inspire others. The blue ranger comes into contact with a Headmaster of a Ranger Academy. This in turn, brings the blue ranger into being interviewed by a student. It’s clear to see how the student is supposed to represent the fans the power rangers have inspired over the past thirty years. Mi-Gyeong is great with showing the very different expressions that Billy has and their range of facial expressions is incredible. Antonellini uses color in a sweet way that adds more emotion and liveliness to the story.
The final story is What Time Is It? This last story feels like such a sweet dedication and appreciation for the fans over the past generations. In this concluding piece, Scott and Byliss start the final story off with a great beginning dedicated to the team. There is a collaborative series of different panels that show the vast Morphin transformations by different artists. This really demonstrates the growth of the core group and how these superheroes will never fade away.
It’s important to take note of Dukeshire’s incredible work of lettering all the stories in this astonishing issue! It’s phenomenal to see someone be able to weave their skills of lettering in each story to bring together such an outstanding issue to commemorate Power Rangers.
Final Thoughts
This collection of short stories of the 30th anniversary are a love letter for fans of the spectacular franchise. Each creative team handled different aspects of the rangers with such love and care. It’s great that for readers who might be picking up an issue for their first time or have dropped the series for a bit to see a reading guide in catching up on the phenomenal stories that have been told by Boom the recent years.

Long absent Kimberly Hart shows her face from 1993-1995 and 1997 broke up Tommy Oliver if she wouldn’t expect to fall in love with him she wouldn’t deserve to marry him if Kat Hillard ever exist early in season 2 with Rocky, Adam, and Aisha she would replaces Kimberly, with Jason, Zack, & Trini to be a second rangers in pink, red, black, and yellow, as a Thunder Rangers that matches with a Thunder Zords if they ever exist even Billy Cranston’s second suit as a Thunder blue Power Ranger too with tommy’s second suit as a White Ranger. But with Kimberly Hart you could image if Power Rangers meets Star Wars characters like Anakin Skywalker the Jedi who turned into the dark side as Darth Vader the Sith season 1 The Phantom Menace, Season 2 Attack of the Clones/Clone wars, season 3 Revenge of the Sith, Power Rangers Zeo The Rebels There’s No Snow Business like Snow Business part 1-3, in Turbo tv movie Obi-Wan Kenobi, Legendary Battle Rogue One/A New Hope, Grin Connection The Empire Strikes Back, and Once and Always The Return of the Jedi.
First of all before Zeo a latest storyline that took place in 1995-1996 in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was PINK #1-6. With Darth Vader who was still in a water machine cooling himself up from a burn of fire all over his body without his left arm and his legs replace by cyber arm and legs built up dressed in black and wear a helmet mask ready to fight the Power Rangers. In the end Kimberly wrote a letter to Tommy she found someone else she’s in love with before in Power Rangers Zeo: There’s no snows Business like snow Business part 1-3/Star Wars: The Rebel Darth Sidious gave a bad news to Darth Vader he felt so angry for a heartbroken for Tommy in part 1 Darth Vader: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. In part 3 when Kat felt so sorry to Tommy about Kimberly who broke him up he’s having a new romance with her dancing with each other and meanwhile Darth Vader shall have his revenge Sith Days later before Turbo/ Obi-wan Kenobi, Legendary Battle/ Rogue One and A New Hope, Grin Connection/ The Empire Strikes, and Once and Always/ The Return of the Jedi.
Also since Tommy second Power Ranger suit in white from Squadron exist why won’t the other Power Rangers Squadron suits in red, blue, yellow, pink, and green or black ever exist in season 2 & 3? And also Kat Hillard finally get to meet Zack in Once and Always but still never get to meet Trini except her daughter cause Trini’s dead played by the late Thuy Trang same thing as in real life she died that I didn’t know and Catherine never get to meet her when she never introduced early in season 2 instead of lately in season 3.
Also before that Star Wars: Ahsoka features season 3 before Alien Rangers / Zeo with Revenge of the Sith.
The 30th-anniversary collection of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers stories celebrates the franchise with love and care. Each story, from Ernie’s shop to character perspectives, showcases the Rangers’ impact. The inclusion of different artistic styles and the dedication to fans make this a special commemorative issue.
The latest storyline that took place in 1990’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers never met is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before in space, Godzilla, and very special guest The Justice League Superman (who was the original Superboy), Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Cyborg including the other cameos they never met and should have join with the other 6 members to help Power Rangers are Nightwing the former partner Robin the Boy Wonder of Batman with Batgirl, Supergirl the cousin of Superman, Green Lantern Jessica Cruz, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman, Shazam, Aquaman, Beast Boy, Starfire, Kid Flash III the second nephew of Flash and cousin of the first Kid Flash/Flash III, and Mera.
Since they made a latest storylines of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers that took place in 1990’s can you image they a make a new comic book of Mighty Morphin power rangers meets Kiss band from Classic through Creatures of the Night features Starchild, Demon, Spaceman 1 & 2, & Catman 1 & 2? Although The Fox shouldn’t have taken place early from the 1990’s to 1980’s in real life.
Same thing as the Ankh Warrior introduced early in Creatures of the Night in 1980’s who took place from Monsters 2000’s/2020’s.
You know most of all Amy Jo never left tv series most is Flashpoint in 2008-2012 with 4 main actors Hugh Dillion, David Paetkau, Sergio Di Zio, and Enrico Colantoni. She was interesting being a cop after she was a Power Ranger.
Imagine they play an song of Michael Jackson she’s out of my life when Kimberly broke Tommy up on youtube.
Even Debbie Gibson Foolish Beat.
