Recap

Review

Author Jed MacKay continues to deliver epic thrills and action in the issues of this book, and this one is no different. Right off the bat, we have Moon Knight trying to catch Zodiac and save the life of his psychiatrist, Dr. Sterman. He’s got some back-up though, in the form of Winner and Tigra. Can we just take a second here and appreciate this supporting cast? It’s really the perfect compliment to Moon Knight, both are moody characters, but Tigra’s got this great sense of how absurd everything is. We clearly know that Marc and his actions are not the norm, but I love how in the middle of a tense situation, Tigra will turn and spell out just how ludicrous his whole life is. There’s a pretty great dive into Marc’s psyche, which is always entertaining.

I’ve got to really applaud the unsung hero of this book, colorist Rochelle Rosenberg. What she does every issue is incredible, but this issue specifically shines the spotlight on her work. There is a lot of black in this title. There’s some in Moon Knight’s costume, there’s the fact that the book normally takes place at night, and there’s the black of a mask, and Rosenberg makes the mask looks so rich it’ll make you stop and pause just to look at how great it looks. Artist Alessandro Cappuccio does his usual magic and makes the world of Moon Knight look so good. Sometimes this book looks like a slickly-drawn Disney cartoon. There’s lots of details but the faces of the characters are what he uses to convey the story. Amazing work.

Final Thoughts

A new chapter in Moon Knight's adventures begins! This creative team is absolutely killing it! Get on board so you won't be left behind, this book is exciting, intriguing, and has plenty of action. Highly recommended,
