What You Need to Know:
Using an App called Caper that would find matches for the Superheroes to date. Simon used it to meet a woman hero named Night Pilot. He discovered that upon their return from Ungara, there are a large number of Super-Heroes missing, including The Night Pilot.

Simon and Jessica have enlisted the help of the Scoundrel Scrapps to lead them to the trail of the Abductors, and hopefully the missing heroes. They have recently found information leading them to a system that is controlled by a Church of the Steed. A fanatical Cult that the Green Lantern’s have an accord with to not enter their space without overwhelming evidence of a crime.

What You’ll Find Out:
The Plot thickens as Simon and Jessica tell the Green Lantern Administrator Mr. Dasam, the nefarious plot of the Superhuman Trafficking. He tells them that the only way to enter the restricted Space is to convert to their religion, and enter as Pilgrims.

Simon who has a deep connection to his Muslim Faith is at odds with the decision. Ultimately he knows that if they wait, then his chances of finding Night Pilot will go down to zero, as time is running short.

What Just Happened?
Their course of action set Scrapps (who was not sent to the Science Cells for her aid on this case) says that she wants to accompany the lanterns. As bad as she is she fought against Slavery with the Omega Men ( not to mention that she caused this entire thing by helping these people commit the crime, but I digress). They take the long flight under cover and Simon and Jessica share a moment as they talk about their insecurities. Jessica almost gets close to revealing that Simon was her Perfect Match from Caper, but decides not to.

After they arrive, it is not long before once again Simon blows their cover. The Head Priest send the brainwashed Superheroes against the Two Lanterns.

The Lanterns are more than a match for the Second-Stringer heroes, and they follow the High Priest who has just played his Wild Card. Scrapps who is then confronted by no other than The Night Pilot herself, fresh from her Transformation.

Rating: 7.5/ 10
Final Thought:
Another story with another inconsistent art style, and it is very distracting. Especially with the beautiful Cover Art that we see from Will Conrad & Ivan Nunes and the variant by Brandon Peterson. The story takes a turn and brings into question the commitment of Simon to his faith. Which is a convenient plot device at times, and certainly a good way to show his commitment to the Corps? I like the direction that this story has taken. I feel they are facing a more modern-day relevant issue. This plays on the fears that we all have about Human Trafficking, and the vulnerabilities of those that are strong enough to protect themselves, yet seem to feel the most isolated and alone. This arc is interesting and is building towards a heartfelt crescendo when Jessica and Simon finally get things going as a team and eventually a couple. I bumped my rating up to a 7.5 after I read this a second time, especially since it’s some of the best character work since they left Ungara and the Red Tide.
