What You Need to Know:

Jessica takes some time to meet with her therapist Grace. Though they are making progress in the year they have been meeting, Grace is concerned that they have yet to find the root of her issues. A traumatic Hunting trip, where her friends were killed.

Jessica just simply cannot remember this. It’s like the memories are just not there, only the pain that they caused.

What You’ll Find Out:
When we last saw Singularity Jain, she had a contract with Bolphunga the Unrelenting. Her deals cause only pain, and she feeds off of the psychic trauma and the distress that she devours.

Jain is disguised as a Robot Divorce Attorney, and attempting to help a PTSD affected Battle Robot named Autonomy Gage. He is concerned about his Cyborg Daughter Sovereignty. He tells his story as Simon and Jessica burst into the office to expose her ruse.

What Just Happened?
Jessica holds Jain Captive, as Simon deals with Autonomy Gage. Jain explains that Jessica is precisely whom she wanted to see. She is a Vampire that feasts on the suffering of others and finds that Jessica’s Traumatic past is especially interesting. She knows this from when Jessica was sucked into her Black Hole Singularity a few issues ago when she was trying to save Bolphunga. Jain is able to tempt Jessica with the emptiness of the Hunting Incident and tells her that this is a mystery that she would love to help her solve. Jessica; however is not biting, and gags Jain.

Simon Battles the out of control Gage, and exhibits a lot of restraint, due to the small child involved. He shows us another of his rings special abilities, as he phases through the Rampaging Robot, to get Sovereignty to safety. Simon connects some high Voltage wires to his body and incapacitates Autonomy Gage, while the Robot Police take him into custody.

Back at the Sector House, as Simon Processes Jain for a Science Cell on OA, Sara, Jessica’s sister calls Simon looking for Jessica. They were supposed to meet an hour ago. The problem is that the apartment is gone, and nothing is left but a Black Hole!

Rating: 8.5/ 10
Final Thought:
The art is Back! The Green Lanterns book has again the consistency that I have missed on the last arc, and we are back with the regular artist Ronan Cliquet. The story is a bit more layered because it builds from a previous art ( That I disliked, but at least there is continuity). A good direction and some good character work. Hooray for a Jessica centric storyline! Jessica Cruz is the best reason to read Green lanterns. Start your reading here this month.
