What You’ll Find Out:
Tomar-Re has fallen to Dex-Starrs claws and his ring leaves to find a replacement. At this same time, Hal converses with his guilt-induced hallucination of Guy Gardner. Their conversation is interrupted by Soranik who’s come to tell Hal that he’ll be let out of solitary confinement tomorrow and to not start more fights. She questions who Hal was talking to before her arrival. Guy says to tell her the truth but Hal ignores it and says he wasn’t talking to anyone. With her visit to Hal complete, Soranik goes to see Sinestro. Not as a Green Lantern, but as her daughter who wants to know what happened to her mother.
Sinestro claims she was assassinated but none of her investigations suggest that this was the case. She digs deeper into questioning, sparking Sinestro to reaffirm his love for Arin Sur and that he didn’t murder her. Soranik corrects him and says she doesn’t think he did. Prying even deeper in suggesting her mother committed suicide to not be with Sinestro. The interrogation is interrupted when Soranik receives word that a Green Lantern has died. While her back is turned to answer the message, Sinestro gets up and tries to steal her ring. But Soranik swings her head back, hitting him in the nose and knocking Sinestro to the floor. Her rage bubbles over as she blasts him through the wall into Hal’s cell.
Hal tries to talk Soranik down out of murdering Sinestro. But as with before, she snaps at Hal and says she isn’t a murderer like he is. More importantly, she isn’t like her father. She then receives another message informing her the Lantern that died was Tomar-Re. Realizing the threat posed by something that could kill a Green Lantern before they can let off an alarm, Hal suggests calling Oa and evacuating the prison. Sinestro instigates the situation by asking if Soranik, the prison warden, is going to take orders from a prisoner. Before their argument can continue, however, Soranik’s ring detects multiple people approaching the planet. She immediately orders a fallback order as the prison is engulfed in a crimson beam of energy. Decimating the prison and leaving only Hal & Sinestro who had survived thanks to Soranik’s force field. The Red Lanterns have arrived and they have come for Sinestro…
What Just Happened?
A bit of a slow chapter this time focused mostly on character development. Namely, Soranik and elaborating on her connection to Sinestro. We get the sense that Sinestro and Soranik have bad blood between them because of the death of Arin Sur. With the Sinestro Corps being more of a side or additional negative. Though her death is a bit more ambiguous than in the mainline comics. Their interactions were fairly interesting. But otherwise, it was setting up for the Red Lanterns impending attack.

Final Thought: It’s quite clear now that Atrocitus has been busy recruiting Red Lanterns. Though his desire for Sinestro makes me wonder what turn they’ll take with the Red Lanterns backstories if changing it at all. Given the tone of the Injustice universe, they wouldn’t really need to.
