Bloodshot has figured out that Ninjak is being watched by Nanites in his blood, so he develops a plan with the Shadowman to find out what’s going on in the Afterlife. Hope Ninjak Survives the experience!

What You Need to Know:
Ninjak is under the surveillance of the dastardly Roku. She has kidnapped Nigel’s wife and daughter and will murder them if Ninjak does not deliver the Book of the Geomancer to her.
Last issue Ninjak ran into the majority of the Unity Team, including Bloodshot. He took out Bloodshot but left behind a clue that he was being watched by someone with some Nanites. As The Eternal Warrior faces Ninjak to grant him a Warriors death, Bloodshot takes him out with a sniper Rifle. It appears to everyone, including Roku that Ninjak is dead!
What You’ll Find Out:
Bloodshot explains the plan to Eternal Warrior. He shot Ninjak with a bullet that contained Nanites to simulate a death-like state. Then he asked the Shadowman to find out what has been going on, in a listen free zone the Deadside.
The Shadowman makes contact with Ninjak as Bloodshot’s plan unfolds in the real world. Bloodshot explains that the nanite bullet was made to make it look like Ninjak was killed so Shadowman can find out who is tracking him. Here we get a flashback of the Unity Team training. Ninjak and XO Manowar sparing under the tutelage of The Eternal Warrior. We can see how close they were back in the day.
Roku, having lost her connection to Ninjak starts to panic. She confronts Susan and her daughter in a last-ditch effort to save herself from her Employer, and it seems that she has discovered something interesting after all…To be continued
What Just Happened?
After speaking with The Shadowman, Ninjak tells him all about Nigel’s wife and daughter. He explains his motivations and why he couldn’t say anything. He leaves the Deadside and regains his consciousness after Bloodshot throws him over the side of a cliff into a Waterfall.
Back at MI6 headquarters, the heroes are assembled and Shadowman appears to tell them what has happened to Ninjak. Nigel is beside himself with grief. He never even knew they were taken. They want to save Colin but they know if they let on that they know his family is doomed.
Ninjak takes refuge in a house to fix himself up. He is fed up with fighting his friends. Just as he gets himself situated, Archer and Armstrong bust through the door and attack him!
While Ninjak takes a few limps, Armstrong hears from Nigel who politely asks him to lose. Without understanding why Armstrong (who is an Immortal like his brother the Eternal Warrior by the way) who knocks out his partner Archer Boondock Saints style with the back of a toilet. He then gets his nose smashed by the bathroom door by Ninjak who is back on the run. Armstrong who looks terrible after his meeting with the door phones Nigel and MI6 to let them know that Ninjak is once again on the move.

Final Thought:
This story has found a really great way to integrate the core characters into a centralized story. The thing that I really love is in this circumstance it gives new readers a chance to learn about the characters and get interested in their stories as well. The Valiant Universe is a diverse mesh of characters that are grounded in a reality that’s not quite as expansive as some of the other Comic Universes, and as a result, it is a lot easier to see how their lives intersect. Start out with Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe #1 and you will not be disappointed by issue #3. Ninjak is a mix of James Bond and Deadpool. I really like the art as well. It has a Dan Jurgens quality of storytelling and detail, that is great for such a fast-paced book.
