Review

This was a fun issue filled with action and surprises. The conflict between Locke and Roach is official in high gear.

This issue does have a few moments that require a bit of a greater suspension of disbelief, such as Spencer and Locke taking out a man with a gatling gun armed with nothing but an oak table, but in a story that’s already deeply rooted in imagination it didn’t take away from the fun excitement of the issue. We get some interesting backstory on Roach, some great action, and a couple shocking surprises making for a very enjoyable issue.

The art for this issue felt a bit rushed but was overall on par with the rest if the series up to this point. Interesting page layouts did a great job portraying the flow of the action and kept things exciting and, as usual, the changes in art style through the issue kept things fresh.

Despite minor flaws, this issue was still a fun read and a great progression of the story laid out in issue #1.

Final Thoughts

This was a fun but seemingly rushed issue filled with exciting action and some shocking moments.
