Star Wars Bounty Hunters #16
Recap
Review
In this game of hot potato with Han Solo, things are really starting to move into high gear and you can tell the finish line is in sight. Almost every Star Wars fan loves the Bounty Hunters just because they look so cool. And they have a screen time of about 10 seconds. But in comics, we get to find out about their personalities, characters, histories, and so forth. Author Ethan Sacks brings out the most interesting aspects of them in this story, having some of them work as teams and, true to form, almost all of them betraying one another. Han is still in the clutches of the Empire, but for how long, Sacks isn’t even hinting at. What he does do is place all the Bounty Hunters in one place and allows them to battle it out. He also involves a healthy number of galactic criminal organizations, both familiar and new. We also get a peek at what else is going on in the worlds of the Bounty Hunters There’s plenty of action and thrills as we’re within reach of the finale of this story. Sacks have been doing a great job on his parts of the story and I look forward to reading what happens after the War of the Bounty Hunters concludes.
Artist Paolo Villanelli gives us another awesome issue, full of beautiful and interesting things to look at. Whether it’s alien worlds of different species or creatures, Villanelli has a gift for turning out some of the most interesting-looking designs, He also includes a ton of Easter eggs in each issue, and almost makes a game out of studying each page. This whole issue is really full of excitement and overall gorgeous art.
