Recap

Tank Girl hits an explosive climax (possibly literally), in the debut story of her first ongoing series! Booga's dark secrets, Tank Girl's dying mother, that one weird smell in the downstairs toilet – it's all here!

Review

This issue was a great but somewhat predictable ending to the first arc. Though, it does quickly change pace and provide a couple big twists and reveals at the end.

While this was a perfect ending for this arc, most of the issue felt a bit too by the book. It was as if everything had been laid out in the previous issue and this issue was just going through the motions. Otherwise this was a fine issue; good humor, a nice dose of action, plot points wrapped up nicely, and an interesting hint at what’s to come.

This art this issue was possibly my favorite so far. There was a great attention to detail both in smaller panels as well as splash pages that when combined with the wonderful colors that gave a great feel to this issue.

Although a lot of this issue seemed to play it safe it did exactly what it needed to, wrapped up plot points from the first arc and set the stage for what comes next.

Final Thoughts

This issue was predictable but great nonetheless; including some of the best art of the series so far and an interesting set up for the next arc.
