The Girl in the Bay #3: Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday

This issue gives us the darker side of the story; telling things from the perspective of Kathy’s killer, Hugh. This gave us an interesting new angle to the story, making the killer of the story feel more human.

I dont know how a 4-issue mini-series is still building suspense in the third issue but this issue did it beautifully. Showing Hugh’s side of the story gave a new depth to the story and showed that maybe no one really knows what’s going on. The story has me really wondering how everything will be wrapped up in one more issue.

The art of the issue did well reflecting the darker tone of the story, with Hugh’s drippy companion looking more grotesque than ever. Beautiful panel sequences and splash pages really brought the story to life and the psychedelic colors made it really stand out.

I’m very excited to see how this story will end. There has been a lot of mystery and suspense built in the first three issues so the conclusion should be mindblowing.
