Review

This was a wonderful ending to a great series. All of the loose ends were tied up nicely, often in unexpected ways.

This series series did a great job building mystery and suspense in the first three issues and this issue managed to raise even more questions before bringing everything together for a fitting and exciting conclusion. This issue really makes you think as it presents several “what ifs” while explaining the supernatural scenarios that made the entire chain of events possible. This was definitely the most intense issue of the series so far.

The art really shines in this issue as great detail and brilliant color come together to add an emotional surrealism to the action and drama of the issue. Hugh’s dark entity is truly shown in all its horrific glory in this issue as it menacingly oozes and drips; adding an almost disturbing level of terror to the issue.

This was was a great ending to a wonderful series. Equal parts dramatic horror and and surreal happy endings, providing good closure while leaving the door open for further exploration.

Final Thoughts

Both blissfully surreal and gruesomely horrific, this was an awesome final issue that really ties the series together.
