Review

I have mixed feelings about this issue. While I loved every part of the issue, I felt that the parts didn’t blend well with each other.

The conclusion to “Into the Bleed” was very well done; as epic as one would expect and filled with touching moments that exemplified what makes the Titans such a great team, the emotional bonds and love that they have for one another. Likewise the flashbacks with Raven and Nightwing were beautifully done. It was great having Nightwing honored in this final issue and especially with a great story of him of him helping Raven overcome her doubts and explaining why she is important to the team. The issue was that these two great stories didn’t quite seem to fit together, making it almost feel like two seperate issues that were spliced together.

The art was just as great as it has been leading up to this issue. The majestic depictions of Raven and Nightwing in the flashbacks was a great contrast to the epic depictions of the terrifying Mother Blood as she taps into the powers of the bleed.

Overall this was a great conclusion to the series but if felt a bit rushed and disjointed.

Final Thoughts

This was an overall great last issue with beautiful art but combining a touching flashback with the thrilling conclusion to an epic arc made it feel a bit disjointed.
