Recap

WALLER VERSUS THE WORLD! After the shocking events of the last issue, the world stands divided: half with the Titans and half with the woman whose vicious methods have saved them for now. All this and more as Dr. Hate returns to revel in and spread their own unique brand of chaos!

Review

Amanda Waller, one of the biggest antagonists of the DC universe, is perhaps the most aggravating character in history. Hats off to Tom Taylor for making me despise her more. In the fifth book of the series, we get to see her get one part of what she deserves, even though I’m of the firm belief that more people want her gone completely instead of lingering in the shadows.

After Beast Boy’s death as the conqueror, Garro, the president of the United States is giving a speech in the White House in which he announces the defeat of the conqueror, while also introducing Amanda Waller to the public. Standing behind the podium, Waller delivers a quick thanks to Chester Runk, who she had forced to participate instead of actually volunteering (talk about fake news). She also announces that the beasts on earth are all being herded and will soon face drone strikes that are bound to take a million lives. The Titans, watching the broadcast, refuse to stand by and let Waller carry out her plans.

Raven, the Flash and Nightwing make it to the Bureau of Sovereignty. The Flash relocates the guards and Raven waits outside for Nightwing to return as to not take out her anger on Waller for her crimes.

Before Nightwing can even get close to Waller, he engages in combat against the big man himself, Peacemaker. They both threw excellent punches, with Nightwing eventually besting him, making him fall to the floor.

While there are massive turns of events towards the end, the art and coloring are fantastic.

Final Thoughts

The issue is solid as the Beast World story is looking to wrap up loose ends, and by the looks of it, all of them too.
